Day #20 Morristown, TN to Wytheville, Virginia

The first group (Pat, Rob, Dennis and Kevin) headed out in the foggy still morning air. It turned out to be a wonderful day, sunny skies, little or no wind and the scenery was awesome. Gentle rollers and some long down hills came and went. Pat was heard to say after the ride “it may have been our best day yet”

Group 2 (Tony, Craig, Fred and Steve) started off with a few nice down hill runs. SB was traded to another Team for the day. We all stopped at the Virginia border for a picture; however no “Welcome to Virginia” sign could be found. It was a very nice ride to the end.

Group 3 (Bruce, Nancy, SB and Dawn) started out under sunny skies with a slight crossing breeze. Our route took us into Virginia along RT#11 a busy and narrow highway through small town America. Small Churches, Town Halls and Shops popped up again and again along the way. Very nice countryside indeed…

Well, there sure are a lot of smiling faces today! Great to see that the sun was shining and the terrain and winds were favorable (although I really don't recall your blogger saying much about BIG climbs... I think he may be leaving something out)! Can you believe that you have been on the road almost 3 weeks? It's certainly fun to watch you go! Keep up the good work and you will see the "troops" on Sunday!

Hey guys & gals, A quick message to Tony. Got you all set up with the ride home. Time and flight as you requested. Looks like we'll be all in the same place this week. Awesome job you guys and gals. Wish I was there for this challenge. Hey looking a the pictures I notice how most of the riders qualify for AARP cards. Maybe we should submit a article into their newsletter. Yeah to the old and gray. Jim McL.

Four more days til Florham Park! Think of me when you go through Livingston. Wonder what it looks like now. We sure hope to see you on the news when you hit NYC. That would be great. Sounds like you're in a beautiful area today. Enjoy!

God Bless all of you. You all are truly an inspiration to us all. In four days about 400 of us will be joining you for the last legs of this journey. May the wind be always at your back. Ride safe brothers and sisters!
